Hanging out with Lydia

Today Lydia and I met in Vienna to hang out for a couple of times. This was also the first time, that we met since my Relocation to Austria. We decided to meet at Vienna's Naschmarkt (the closest US term would be a farmers market). The Naschmarkt was crazy and busy as usual. After walking by all the restaurants we decided to try an Indian Place, called Indian Pavillion. The food was quite yummy and it was great fun chatting with Lydia. Hanging out at Naschmarkt is always fun, but I could have done with out the accordion guy who tried to serenade us.
After lunch we took a walk through the 'MuseumsQuartier' (several meseums mixed together) and then we took a stroll up and down Mariahilfer Strasse, one of Vienna's main shopping streets. Was quite interesting to see that only minor things have changed. There are a couple of stores there, that are certainly worth checking out. I wasn't quite too sure what to make of the remodel of Westbahnhof (one of Vienna's railway stations). While walking back down Mariahilfer Strasse we took a stroll through 'Raimundhof'. It's one of the typical old Vieniese Buildings with several inner courtyards...very quiet and pieceful and it doesn"t feel that you're in the city. It definitely was a fun afternoon with Lydia.
At the subway we said our good bye's. Looking already forward to the next time, when Lydia and I will be hanging out in Vienna. I managed to get back to my parents just in time before today's thunderstorm started....and Daisy was no fan of the thunderstorm at all!!
