Weed Control - Day 3

Today I continued with the weed removal. There is something in those weeds, that Kenny and I seem to be allergic to. It both gives us hives on the lower arms. Normally it takes a couple of hours for the hives to disappear. But the last time I worked with the weeds I must have gotten a quite substantial amount of the "weed allergen" since it took a couple of days for the allergic reaction to disappear. So today I opted to wear a long sleeve shirt.
I was working on the upper south facing slope. I took here and there a short break in the shade but never took a longer break to go inside. For some reason I didn't even realize how much time I had spent out there. But the time I was forced to take a break, since I was getting close to feeling dizzy, I had worked out there for about 2 1/2 hours... and that's way too long.
Heat, wearing pants and long sleeve shirt and not drinking enough took quite a toll on me. It took me over 1 hour to cool really down. While I was inside, Kenny continued to knock the weeds down with the weed whacker.
Later in the afternoon I decided to go out there once again. This time I spent about 1 hour out there digging out those weeds that where too thick for the weed whacker. All in all we made quite some progress, but we're still far from being done.
