Those of you guys who regularly read my blog probably know that Daisy has been having a Cyst on her right foreleg. And as a precautionary measure I was going to have it removed.
Today we had our OP-Appointment. Got there right on time and had even some time left to settle in. What's always a good thing, since Daisy really doesn't like the Vet too much. Giving here some time to calm down is always a good thing.
This was not a big operation and was going to be done under local anesthesia. And I was boing to be right at Daisy's side. This was something that really calmed her down a lot. She was cooperating for most part and was so much calmer than I thought she would be. The procedure didn't take more than about 15 minutes. After that we were all done and headed back home.
Since Daisy didn't have any breakfast I got her something really yummy. I know I shouldn't be doing things like those, but I'm just a sucker for a sad doggy face. And Daisy almost emptied her food bowl. After that she took a 2 hour nap at her doggie bed and since I didn't have anything that I absolutely had to be done...so I took a afternoon nap as well. Shortly before the store closed I did some shopping for the weekend.
I put Daisy on the couch in the living room and we watched TV. And Daisy stayed right next to me the entire time. That almost never happens. If I can get her to watch TV with me for about 20 minutes that's quite a long time. So guess she figured spending time right next to me on the couch is a mighty comfy and safe spot. So today my living room couch was doing double duty as Post-OP Ward.
On Saturday we will be having a control appointment and if all goes according to plan the sutures will be coming out in about 1 week from now. I will keep you guys posted on the progress.
