Work around the House

Today I needed to get some work around the house done. I started with transporting several wheel barrels full of weeds over to the big trash dumpster. One of our neighbors had thrown in an entire table without breaking it up. Not sure which one it was, but that has to be one of the dumbest things to do. But with some compressing the weeds by hand into the dumpster I still managed to get quite a lot into. I did stop in time to leave enough room for regular household trash. While I was busy with the weeds, Kenny had put our living room back together. We had to put quite a number of things away in order to kinda make it 'child proof' for my little nephew. Later Kenny joined me outside at the 'weed game' to battle some weeds at the garage that just keep on growing...seems just like yesterday, that I had them all cut down. All that yard work with temps in the mid 80's with not even a hint of a breeze is not much fun!!

After a little break we headed out to Santa Clarita and head lunch at El Pollo. Later we went grocery shopping, as we were running out of a lot of things. Around 3 pm we were back at the house and waited for the repair shop to call. They finally called at 5.30 that Kenny's Jeep was ready. Luckily we didn't have to drive to West LA during rush hour, since the repair shop is connected to a gas station and therefore you can pick up your car 24 hours. Kenny had to do some stuff to do on the computer and after that we had a quick dinner. Next we headed back out to West LA to pick up the car. The total repair cost is about 900 bucks. By the time we got back home it was almost 10.30 pm again.
