Pet-Relocation Update

A couple of days ago I emailed my pet-relocation agent several questions, since I couldn't get a hold of him on the phone. Usually he responds within 24 hours. But this time it was more than 3 days. I didn't worry too much about that, since the relocation isn't happening for another 3 month and because there was a weekend in between. Today I got some good news:
  • Daisy's travel date of August 17th is OK. They still can't give me the confirmation for that yet, but her spot has been reserved.
  • The authorities at Vienna International Airport have confirmed that there won't ben any problem with Daisy's 9-digit MicroChip. Therefore there won't be any need to re-chip and re-vaccinate her.
  • Currently they're trying to have Daisy travel on a Non-Commercial EU-Health Certificate. That would mean that Daisy has only to see the VET once, thus eliminating the need for a VET visit 24 hours before departure.
  • I also got more info about which crate pad to choose. Has to be absorbent, but shouldn't be too thick either.
