A Relaxing Sunday

Today I had quite relaxing Sunday. Kenny was on the set of the 'Guild' all day long. First I experimented a little with on of my salad recipes. I do like eating salad, but the same recipes over and over again...well that gets boring quickly. Since I had enough time on my hand I first prepared roasted potatoes and roasted a steak and cut it into more manageable pieces. Then I made the salad the usual way, added steak and roasted potatoes...and it turned out delicious!! Yes the steak could have been a little more on the pinkish side, but that might have been partially due to the fact, that this steak has been in the freezer for quite some time. That recipe is definitely a keeper!!
After that I relaxed with couple of episodes of 'Golden Girls'. Next up was some housework that I haven't gotten around to lately. After that I checked on all the forms and the paperwork that I need to fill out prior to having my appointment with the Austrian Consulate General on Tuesday. Of course there have to be several forms and they certainly can't make it easy for you. You've gotta love government bureaucrats and their obsession with paperwork. I tried to print those forms out, but for some reason the printer on Kenny's computer simple refused to do anything. At that time it didn't even occur to me that I could have saved the files as pdf's, sent them to Kenny's computer and printed them that way. But since there is more than enough time till the appointment it really didn't worry me too much.
Then I relaxed a little with several more episodes of 'Golden Girls'. While I was watching TV Kenny texted me not to wait with dinner for him, since he will be getting home rather late. So I went ahead and experimented with another of my recipes. I made Curry Rice and roasted Green Beans and Lima Beans...but I experimented a little with the seasoning. Well if you like your food a little on the spicy side, than that's definitely the recipe for you!! That recipe is a keeper as well, since I like my food to be a little on the spice side.
That pretty much concluded my very relaxing sunday.
