Family Travel

Once I got home, I started my computer, went to Flight Tracker and waited for the plane to take off. They took off at 7.57 am...pretty much on time. I figured I might as well get some shut eye and I went back to bed. Got a little over 1 hour sleep and by the time I got back up again and checked Flight Tracker and my family was over Missouri, about half way to Washington DC.

By noon they had landed in DC, where they'll be having a layover of about 1 hour and 45 minutes. I called my Dad via Skype to let him know that my family had made it to Washington DC, but my friend Sandra had already given him that info.

When I opened up Fight Tracker with the Austrian Airlines flight, that my family will be taking back to Austria, it turned out, that the inbound flight was 23 minutes delayed. Apparently that didn't matter too much as they took off from DC about 4 minutes delayed, and I wouldn't call that much of a delay at all!! I called Dad to let him know that my family is en route to Austria and that they're scheduled to arrive on Monday at 8.11 am. We'll have to see and wait if that estimate stays that way.

Occasionally I checked back on Flight Tracker how my families flight was progressing. By 11.03 pm (PST) they landed in Vienna, about 2 minutes before they were scheduled to.
