This morning a took a closer look at the 'Welcome Package' for Daisy's relocation. I know roughly what it was supposed to contain and everything seems to be there. Most of it is quite clear. Not entirely sure though if EU- and International Health Certificate are being done together on the First Exit Exam. Guess I've to read it again and maybe email my pet-relocation specialist. I didn't quite have the head to deal with governmental regulations. So I went to continue with the packing fun.
It had occurred to me yesterday that I might not have protected the Rotisserie as well as I would like to. It's probably OK, but I wanted to make sure that it is well protected. Sol I opened up box #2 again. Getting out all the packing noodles is so much fun!! Once that was accomplished I wrapped the Rotisserie nice and tight in Bubble Wrap and made sure it was very well protected. Then I put the Rotisserie back into the box, filled the voids with packing noodles and taped the box back up.
Next up was box #3. First I protected the Bread Maker with a quite generous amount of Bubble Wrap. Once I was satisfied it went into the shipping box.
By that time it was time for coffee...but turns out that I had run out. So I took a quick trip to Sweetwater Farms to pick up coffee. A day without coffee would be quite upsetting indeed!!
After I got back from the store and had started to coffee I continued to work on shipping box #3. I managed to pack all the DVD's into the box. Then I made sure the all the voids were nice and tight filled out with bubble wrap and packing noodles. I had more room in the box, but the box was starting to get heavy and so I decided just to put an empty box as kind of placeholder in. That serves 3 purposes: It fills out the remaining void, it protects to items from moving around in the box and it prevents the box from being crushed.
Next up was lunch and since I was starving and didn't feel like cooking I had left overs from last nights dinner. I relaxed a little after a fairly late dinner. I couldn't start packing shipping box #4 since some of the clothes have to go into the box as well to keep the weight at an acceptable level. In order to do that I need first to figure out what clothes exactly are going into the suitcase. To do that I have first to buy a new suitcase. By the time I could have left for one of the local Target's it was about 5 pm and shopping for a suitcase on Saturday evening is not what I consider fun. So I decided to deal with the entire suitcase fun on Monday. Since the boxes are not going to be picked up for another 2 weeks that shouldn't be a problem at all.
