This week was truly a hard week at work. Not only was the subject of my work quite demanding, but it also required very long hours. Being at work from 8 am to 7 pm with 1/2 hour lunch break is just no fun.
But that's part of being a Main-Accountant. You have to deal with all the corrections once the final paperwork comes back from the tax guys. These corrections are quite a mental challenge at times. Needless to say that I was very tired when getting off work and didn't want to do much than chilling in front of the TV before heading to bed. In this situation it's quite fortunate that I have a senior dog, that doesn't require that much exercise.
Now I'm really exited that this sort of stress is over and that I can enjoy myself once again. That will be true for the next 3 month or so. Then there I will have to start with the "fun task" of starting to compile the paper work for the tax guys. But other than that I truly love my job and I'm very happy at the company I am working for.
There was some positive development. My boss called me into his office and told me that He will be paying me 100 bucks more per month beginning in January and he also told me that he is very happy with the way I am doing my job. Hearing that from him and getting an acknowledgement of my work makes you really feel good.
