Well, today was another day of doing yard work. I was going to start with the south facing slope. When I got out there the temperature was already up to 90 F. So I was going to limit the time I was working on that slope to about 1 hour. I really didn't want to have a repeat of yesterday's 'adventure' with the heat exhaustion. So I started with the south facing slope around 10 am. And I was making quite good progress. By the time the first battery ran out I had cut down about 1/3 of the weeds. Since I had spent about 1 hour I decided to take a break. Turns out that was the right decision, since the temperature was meanwhile up to 97 F...and that's way too hot for yard work.
I spent the rest of the afternoon inside and got some more work consolidation the hard drives done. At 6 pm I went back out to do more yard work. It was still quite toasty...around 95 F, but we had a nice breeze going and the south facing slope was already mostly in the shade. I worked for about 1 hour and made good progress. By the time I ran out of battery I had cleared about 2/3's of the south facing slope. I'm quite happy with the progress. If all goes according to plan I should be done with the weeds by tomorrow.
