Advanced Payroll Class...

Today I was the start of my advanced payroll class. So I left work at 1.30 pm. I can easily afford that, since I have enough overtime anyways. I wasn't going to got to class directly, since I can't leave Daisy that long alone. So I went home first. Of course public transportation was a bitch. Had to wait extra long for 1 bus and 1 tram...and that didn't exactly make me happy. But that's how it usually is, if your're on a tight schedule. The way I had planned it was that I would have enought time to take Daisy out, have a snack before class and still have time to relax at home. The last thing I want to do is to take Daisy for a walk and pretty much have to leave right away.
But today that was pretty much what happened. Took Daisy for a walk and then there were just 15 minutes left to have a quick bite to eat before I had to leave. Daisy knew the whole time something was up. But she was a really good sport about it. After that I left for my class. I got to the WKO-Campus about 15 minutes before the class started. Good think I know the WKO-Campus quite well.
After the usual introduction the class started off right away. For having been at work for from 7.15 amd to 1.30 pm I was able to focus very well. Although sitting in class from 4 pm to 9 pm isn't that easy. Especially dealing with a subject that requires you to have a clear head. But I was doing quite well. It's a mixture of theory and praxis. I do enjoy theory. But seeing it on a practical example makes it more tangible. Although you think you might have comprehended the theory quite well, I'm always surprised how often I have to look up in the theory, that I've just written down in order to complete a practical example. But actually this class is interesting and as far as I'm concerned quite fun as well. I got to know my bench neighbor and we pretty much hit it off right away. We're the same age and we're both working in accounting...so that helped a little.
The first 5 hours of Advanced Payroll Class ended at 9 pm. When I got home it was about 20 minutes before 10 and I took out a super excited Daisy right away. She still has to get used to the Friday schedule. Once we got back, I warmed up something to eat. I was hungry like a bear. I relaxed with 2 beer on the couch and then headed to bed. After all I will have to get up on Saturday at 6 am, since I'm taking a class in Corporate Tax Law as well.  So the next 2 month are going to be tough. But I do know the reason why I'm taking those classes, so it's going to make the effort well worth.
