Advanced Accounting Classes

In February I started with a 4-week course in Advanced Accounting. Boy was that different to the first accounting course. This second one was so much more stuff to go through and some of it is quite difficult actually. You really have to think it all through to make sense of it and you definitely have to stay on top of it. If you don't manage to do that, you probably end up failing the course. So I spent lots of hours in the evening going through each day's accounting theory and I did actually very well, staying on top.
Then came February 22nd. I had been having issues at my jaw joint for about 10 days. First it appeared to be an middle ear infection. That didn't turn out to be true. Then it was suspected that we're dealing with mumps instead. That as well turned out to be a wrong diagnosis. On February 22nd it was finally time to accept that there was no other way to deal with the entire issue than to go to the hospital. Turns out the entire thing was a infection on the parotid gland resulting in a rather nasty abscess. At the hospital the cut that abscess open. Not an experience that I would care to relive anytime soon. But on the other hand it wasn't that horrible either. I had to spend the next 3 days in the hospital on antibiotics. So I only missed 2 full days of classes. That might not sound too much, but missing 10 hours worth of accounting theory is actually a lot, and it took me quite some time to catch back up again.
When the class ended I was pretty sure that it should be possible to pass the written exam on March 15th. But till that day it really was almost a mad learning marathon. By March 14th I was pretty confident that I should be able to pass the written exam, and even if it is with a D...that's still a passing grade.
