Today I finally took my Payroll Accounting Exam. I thought I was prepared quite well for it. So I was really nervous at all. Yes I knew that there was a particular chapter that I hadn't learned. But that's just taking the chances. Fortunately non question from that particular chapter was asked.
I was prepared for 2 or 3 examples of having to calculate 2 or more bonus payments and all the extra work you have to do, when it comes to calculating the incom tax related amounts. That what I was not really prepared for is having to calculate 5 such excercises. That was not nice. And in the end I didn't finish the last excercise.
On top of that I had to calculate 4 expense sheets for an employees travel expenes. And then there were of course a couple theoretical questions as well.
That is a lot for just 2 hours. And as I stated earlier I didn't quite get it finished. But actually I felt quite good about my accomplishment. I knew that there was a possibility about loosing quite a number of points duo to my dyslexia. Well that has gotten better over the years and it usually doesn't give me anz issues at work, since I can see the mistake on the paper printpout of the table calculator. Since we didn't have those during the test, I knew that could become an issue.
But at this point I'm still hoping for the best. But I won't find out till 7th of July.
