Job Hunting continues...

Today I had another job interview. This time in Upper Austria. I had been chatting back and forth with those guys, since the job description wasn't that clear. First it seemed to be a kind of an assistant job, but turns out that it is far more than that. This is one of those cases where the job description really doesn't fit the actual job.
So I went up there. Of course this time I had to go by car, since using public transportation would have been way too complicated and too time consuming as well. When driving to the job interview the GPS gave me what I thought was the ETA, and that would mean it was going to be a 4 hour drive. I really couldn't believe that. Turns out that what I was looking at was the estimated travel time. After that short scare it was smooth sailing. I would have gotten there over 1 hour early, so I stopped at Mondsee for coffee.
The job interview went very well. Turns out this job is not way more than the job description, but has great personal development opportunities as well. And that's definitely a plus in my book. After I was done with the interview I think that I have actually good chances of landing that job. Of course it would require me to relocate a few hundred miles. But for the right job I'm willing to do just that.
From now on it's a waiting game and I should hear back from them within the next 2 or 3 weeks.

Job Hunting

Today I had an job interview with a Human Resource company aka "Head Hunter" for the position of a Junior Accountant in Salzburg.
Getting there with the RailJet, the high speed train of OEBB, was pretty easy and a no brainer. You don't make it by car to Salzburg in about 2 hours. And I got three on time without any problems. Was fun to see how much snow there still is in the local mountains.
The Interview itself went pretty good actually. No major Slip Up's or absolute interview No's. Well then it came to the psychology test. OK, it's not the first of those tests I've taken. That part wasn't really the problem. The Math portion of this test is an entirely different story. The examples of "number rows" are supposed to measure your logic skills. Not a clue what that thing has to do with logic. I couldn't do them back in High School and I'm still equally terrible at them. For most parts I just guessed them. Not sure how much of them are right.
